I like this show. It is not as good as top rated series, but the story, acting, visual effect and music are good. People are generally smart in this show and the actions do not repeat themselves.
same in India ,only in the Greek Mythology Sirens were believed to combine women and birds but the facts that in Spanish, French, Italian, Polish, Romanian and Portuguese the word for mermaid is respectively Sirena, Sirene, Sirena, Syrena, Sirena and Sereia, and that in biology the Sirenia comprise an order of fully aquatic mammals that includes the dugong and manatee,
well me i dont care if they are mermaids or sirens or whatever shape they have... its a different kind of serie, a little dark, a little "love", can be a great story...first 3 episodes were a nice start, and i hope it continues
Technically, both Danyboy and Th3Dokt0r are correct, depending on which source you use. The Greeks often depicted the Sirens, as Women with Bird-like features, including wings. However, in places like the Philippines, they have records dating back that portray them very closely to the ones seen in this series, without wings. The problem occurs with translation, as the same word was used to describe both Sirens and Mermaids. They were interchangeable, based on context. ^-^ As for the series, so
you're wrong they're like a fish from the waist down and they usually have wings, in some stories they are described as having both birds feet and a fish tail :)
